Type of a scam Employment
This morning I received an email notifying me that "Latham & Watkins LLP (was) pleased to offer me a position..." I was instructed to set up a Google account and download the "Hangout" app in order to complete the online interview.
There were standard interview questions asked and answered.
At the end of the interview I was told I would know within 30 minutes. 90 minutes later I received a reply saying that my offer letter would arrive. The offer letter was different than the salary I was told during the interview. So, I was sent another email with a different salary.
Throughout the interview, and within the emails, there were several grammatical and spelling errors.
Since the entire process was odd, to me, I did some searching and located the ScamPulse.com article on fake job offers. This one matches almost perfectly.
I have three documents in total to provide to the BBB, but was only able to upload one of them, below.
I can provide the other two, when asked to do so.
