I applied for a Jr. Data Entry clerk for Law Firm LLC. They sent me a job application that was VERY detailed regarding personal information including full social security number. When asked which law firm they worked for they responded with "53 states." I had multiple emails from different representatives. After receiving my job application they also wanted a picture of the front and back of my drivers license to to verify my identification before running my back ground check, which i agreed to on the job application. Later on around 8 pm at night i received a text for a man named AE stating he worked for Law Firm LLC and would be working with me to run my background check. He sent me links to log into ID.ME urging in order to get this job this was part of the identification processes. I completed the identity verification with the "selfie photo" and the short areas you text in that identifies you. He let me know that he would update my address with the IRS due to me moving. Once he was finished he ensured i can go back in and change my password. Which the next morning that was the first thing I did and went over his activity. He checked my New York State Department of Labor and California EDD. I reached out to Judy which states she is the HR representative and verified AE did in fact work for them. This "Law Firm" was not professional with email and could not identify any actually law firms they were affiliated with. I then asked for a phone interview to ensure that this was a reliable company and they responded that they would only do email, skye, or zoom due to high volume of applications.
