After reading forums to determine the legitimacy of the organization, some business owners directed those curious to the bottom of the correspondence where, in fine print, it states that 'LCPSS is a Non_Government publisher of copyrighted compliance poster compilations which are intended to assist employers in meeting their legal obligations under labor law posting regulations. If you are not 100% satisfied with this product, simply return it within 45 days for a full refund. (CA) See reverse for important additional information'.
I would like to upload some pictures of all printed materials they sent me (envelope, return envelope, double-sided letter), but am having trouble uploading it.

For instance:
(1) the company's name was LCPSS on some items and LCPS on others
(2) address on letter and letter envelope was CA...address on return envelope was FL
When I looked further into their company, I realized they were actually a scam.

This letter had NO phone number, NO website, and their company name changed. Sometimes it was "LCPSS," other times it was "LCPS".
Their address at the top of the page doesn't match the address on the envelope they supplied.
SCAMMERS!
They wanted $79.25 at first, then &125.00. i wasnt fooled. Found they are not government affliated, so i had nothing to worry about and not a dime for them. I researched them and confirmed my suspicions. Be careful out there. Confirm legality before sending money.

At the very bottom on the back of the letter there is a "disclaimer" stating that this is not from the government and that they are private business and you can actually obtain the posters free of charge from the government.
1. They say that this putting a poster in my office (my house, in this case, single-member) is a FEDERAL LAW REQUIREMENT. Is this true?
2. They pretend to be in a Sacramento address, but they require money to be sent to a PO Box in Florida.
Anyway, I'm going to throw in into the trash.
I'm writing this to encourage other small business owners to not be intimidated and to look at the "fine print" of ANY letter mailed to their business. Though they may try to hide it, predatory companies like LCPSS are required by law to state that they're a for-profit business (or be subject to federal investigation), so you can usually spot something immediately by looking over the letter from top to bottom before signing anything or writing any checks.
