My in-laws received a flyer and contacted the business. Someone came out to make an estimation on what it would cost to put covers over the gutter and quoted them $10,000. From there my in-laws who are in their 80s and hobbling around unable to clean their gutters thought that a quote of $7,650 was a deal so they would no longer have to clean their gutters. The salesperson pressured them into signing a contract on the spot. After the work was done, in-laws received a call explaining that their financing wasn't going through and could they pay upfront. Of course they could not because this is a retired couple who have always scraped by. They have been in their modest home since the early 70s. So part 2 of what I believe was a continuation of scam part 1 couldn't be realized. When I looked into pricing on gutter covers, they should've paid no more than $2,000 -- at the highest end!
This business is preying on the vulnerable elderly. There's no reason this cheating, scamming, predatory business should be allowed to exist. My in-laws have dealt with so many health problems this year and have not had the comfort of family, now they are out $7650 that they do not have.
