Type of a scam Rental
So I found this house (2BR and 1 den) on craigslist for $1475 a month, and it seemed to be a good deal so I contacted the landlord. Basically this is what they told me through email
"What I can tell you about me is that I'm 46 years old, married with 2 children. I work as an engineer in the construction industry (Acciona Group - an industrial group. They have a lot of projects all over the globe. They moved me to the Spain construction department because they have a new project here. Since I need to stay here for more than 5 years I decided to rent the place). I need a responsible tenant to move into my apartment and maintain it during my absence. The apartment is vacant so you can move-in anytime you want. I have never rented this apartment and I want to find a responsible tenant to take good care of it. (It's your choice for how long you need to rent it for, either 2, 3, 6 months or 1 year rental contract with the option of renewal)."
His name was Pierre Browsen (phone number +1 236.304.4905), and he said he uses a service of a global company called Lease Our House (https://leaseourhouse-solutions.com/?fbclid=IwAR3N0IJWs_2iO8m9x-mEFU2D_dT7OrT0h...⇄ The policy of the company required me to transfer the money before seeing the house, so I sent them the money. The money was rejected the first time and the bank also recommended not to send the money, and one of my friends even scolded him to see if he is a scammer (normally the scammer would run away and try to avoid contacting after people know about his identity). However, this guy still contacted me back, saying that he was an honest man and a legal company is managing this transaction, so I let my guard down (again) to send the money to him. I could talk with the customer service on the website till last Wednesday that I was not able to reach them anymore. I tried to find the legitimate founder of the company and they said that the company has been closed and it's probably a scam. So please please please be careful with this because scammers nowadays are very thorough and skilful in building trust with the victims.
