I received an IG DM from an associate telling me she made a $500 (Bitcoin) investment and in 2 hours received a profit of $10,841. She was able to withdraw and collect her profit via Cash App and she wanted to let other people know about her successful transaction and connect them and they too can get this financial profit.

With no experience or knowledge of the whole Bitcoin industry I was curious yet naive and very interested in getting the same result. Per this associate's instructions, I DM'd her contact. That person said she'd walk me through the entire process which included a Cash App(Bitcoin setup), a Bitcoin app download, and a basic level login setup to a a website "Legalforextrading".

Understand, this process took long over 2 hours as there was so much back/forth with her not clear in her communication or what steps were required in order to get to specific points. The preferred and only method of communication was IG DMing. Yet, once the $500 was sent via Cash App, I was then connected to someone else via WhatsApp and logged into the legalforextrading website.

I was directed to a "withdrawal funds" button which once I clicked and completed my Cash App preferred method, I received the error message attached to this complaint. Basically stating my investment account required me to upgrade. I learmed the "upgrade" required an additional payment. There were 3 levels of upgrading your level from basic to either an $850, $1300 or $2800 via the legalfoxtrading website. It is only then you'd be able to withdraw the funds --- smoothly. Is the term constantly used by the person on the WhatsApp.

I REFUSED. I contacted the website's email, WhatsApp # and even the live chat (which was a joke). The direct calls made were dropped after 2 rings. Then I finally got a voicemail and left a message to give me a call back of which I received a reply via WhatsApp only. No one ever responded via email. The live chat bot must have died because no one responded for a good 2 hours. When I did get a response it was only after I spoke to the person on Whatsapp (text) who was trying to get me to make a choice of the 3 payment/upgrade options in order to withdraw the funds.

I reached back to the person on IG. The person was very smug and claimed they'd contact me. NOTHING. This is a complete SCAM, SCAM, SCAM.

I spoke to a dear friend who is knowledgeable of the Bitcoin and was told the investments never turnaround that quickly.

My loss of $500 will come back to me tenfold because of who I am. These people are all phonies. Beware of this company and any IG DM received from people claiming to have Bitcoin experience and allege their desire to invest on your behalf.
