I posted my resume and applied for a job on Indeed. They wanted me to complete an employment application online. I got an email and they sent me a contract to sign. I completed it and returned it. They told me to get on Telegram a messaging app, as that is how they communicate. They sent me a link to do a payroll for direct deposit. I filled it out. AI was to start work today for training. they called me to do a quick over the phone interview. I spoke to a lady who explained the tasks. She asked me to send a picture of myself holding my ID up to my face. Then she told me to create a Coinbase account. She said they also use Tether. I asked what I should put in. She said I would take orders. She said I would receive a unique link to access my account. She said there is a built in chat. The system will automatically track my working hours. She said a personal tether wallet will be attached to me. She said I could use the wallet to pay for equipment. She said it would take some time for IT to configure my account as IT is overloaded. I created a Coinbase account. She said the next step is to send me to corporate adn to link the tether account to their. She said to link my public service credit union to the Coinbase then use tether wallet. I asked if she was asking me to use my personal account for this. She said it's not usually how they work, but .... I told her I was happy to wait until my account was ready as I wasn't comfortable using my personal account for this. And she hasn't replied further. I have put a freeze on my credit reports and notified my bank. I lost my job in July and I was so excited because I thought I had gotten a good new job. This is not how I wanted to spend my day.
