Advertised online under a local name, claiming a 5.0 review score. "Ben" was hired to replace a just-crushed garage door with a MATCHING garage door just like the one next to it. Representative (not Ben) who came to identify undamaged door agreed to do the job within a week, since we were scheduled to list our home for sale in a week and must have the matched door in place. Charged my credit card $751.41 deposit via ScanPay on 8/30 to order the proper door. The receipt I received by email was minimal and unprofessional -- other than business name now given as "Garage door repair 24/7" and phone number +1 818 535 9713 (Southern California), had no address, website URL, proprietor's name or other identification. That and the fact that caller ID on the phone only shows "wireless" appear that "Ben" is concealing his actual identity.
Via e-mailed ScanPay on 9/5 charged my credit card an additional $1869.21 ($194.62 more than the total agreed on the first invoice) before installing the replacement. Sent young installers who never spoke with us or showed us the new door and left without notice before we could inspect the job. They installed a cheaper door with different, traditional style that does NOT match the one next to it and is wrong for the home's mid-century architecture. Its cheaper clear glass does not match the undamaged door's textured opaque windows, either. Side by side the mismatched doors look jarring and are delaying and financially impacting the sale of our home. I repeatedly emailed Ben asking him to install the proper door with proper glass as agreed and refund the $194.62 overcharge, which he said he would do. He has ignored me ever since.
At my Progressive insurance agent's request, I wrote him again asking for an itemized invoice, since the total charge of $2620.62 substantially exceeds the $2200 Progressive paid me based on normal replacement costs for our area. He has completely ignored that request as well.
After days of no response, with our home now past its scheduled listing date and us now paying two simultaneous mortgages due to the delay, I called my credit card issuer and reported the fraudulent transaction. When he was notified, he made 8 furious phone calls to me on 9/18, screaming at me for reporting the transactions and saying he was going to fight me. He was yelling so fast in a heavy foreign accent that I couldn't even understand most of what he shouted. He repeatedly ignored my requests to calm down and speak more slowly so we could talk. I said I could not talk with him if all he did was shout at me furiously and unintelligibly, so I finally hung up. He called back even more angrily within seconds with multiple threats to "shame me all over the internet" and our community, etc. etc. He made 6 more threatening calls with more of the same (8 in all in the space of 18 minutes). On the 7th call he claimed that the door he installed is the right one. I told him photos and visits from contractors and realtors all agree that it is NOT EVEN CLOSE to the matching style we ordered. He then said he would replace our correct, more expensive undamaged door with a cheaper one like the one his workers already installed. I told him that is not acceptable, that I was not going to pay even more for a job that was not done as agreed with a company that did not keep any of its promises, and that after waiting a week I had finally hired another company to do what he failed to do as we have no more time to waste getting the house listed. I said I would be happy for him to come and remove the incorrect door and take it back. He screamed at me repeatedly that he was going to come and smash both my garage doors. I told him his threats to damage my home are a crime and I would report them to the police. I then hung up. He immediately called back again but I did not answer.
Resolution with my credit card company is still pending.
My husband and I are age 80 and 82 and disabled, and he apparently thinks he can get away with this kind of swindle with folks like us. I did report him to the police and to the Washington State Division of Consumer Affairs.

Went on web found Marysville Garage Door co. Called them to fix broken springs on garage door. They replaced my springs charged me $1552.00. They said they would send a receipt on line. They did but everything is blaked out. Called them tey got made. First said they were in Seattle then said they were in Auburn, wa. Other phone numbers used were 314 -891-5511 206-759-7657. Service tech name was Ben. They did put the springs in but now pretty sure this is not a company from Marysville. Fell I was charged way too much but that is my fault.
