I applied for an online loan. Was contacted by this company. Confirmed all my info was told was approved for a loan of $2000 and that funds would be deposited within 2 hours. A descriptive deposit was added to my bank account but in current balance. So I assumed bank just needed to verify funds. I was then contated by phone by loan officer Daniel that due to my credit score I would have to have insurance for the loan. He then proceeded to tell me that funds would be deposited to cover this imsurance and all I had to do was send this amount back to the company and my loan would be released to my account. I was then instructed to purchase a Nike gift card for 200.00 out of the funds that were deposited in my account. I completed this task and was told my loan would be available first thing in the morning. A little nervous at this point I waited till the next morning meanwhile said deposit of 1700 dollars still showing in my current balance. The following morning I was contacted by Daniel again and told their were still funds needed to be paid towards insurance of loan. After a ton of questions and reassurance this was legit I purchased from funds in available balance from my account another $250 Nike gift card and promised my loan would be released today. After waiting several hours I reached out to said company and was told by Daniel that he spoke to my bank and remainning funds would be available in the morning tommorrow. At this point I was very skeptical and nervous and confused. I reached out to my bank after just a little bit of time was informed the checks deposited were fradulant and were not valid. I then shocked and embarrased and to repeat the above mentioned events in detail and was transferred to the risk department to forward all info to them and am in the process of establishing a new account with them. After having to sign a promise to pay for the 450 back to the bank. I am writing this to for warn anyone else so that do not have to go through this with this or any other company.
