Offered me a loan. I, first, had to "improve my credit score". To do that they deposited $$ in to my bank acct. I, then, was instructed to "pay it back" by using gift cards that I was to purchase at a Walmart and send them the gift card information. I did not do this but involved the police. My bank tagged the deposit as potential fraud and locked my accts. As per police instructions, I didn't answer their calls and blocked all numbers they attempted to call from. I received a voice-mail stating they wanted their $992 back If they didn't receive it they would ruin my life! The fraud dept of my bank determined this deposit was made with a bogus check drawn on some business out of state and their IP address was in Chicago. True to their threat, my credit score plummeted by a devastating 27 points .I have opened new accts at my bank. The bank has kept my old acct (inactive) with the $992 still there.

I filled out an application for a loan with lending tree I received a call from someone claiming to be lending tree spoke with them 3 days over this and they said I need $150 to show creditably my credit score is low then they said they needed $300 to pay out of state taxs for loan from California to Louisiana then they said $350 insurance the reason was due to pandemic a lot of loans didn’t get paid the insurance supposed to protect them and me then they wanted $160 to add points to my credit score they had me cash ap all this to them I asked for documentation before I sent it and they sent me documentation that looked to be real but was not needless to say they got my whole check I received no loan and now can’t get in touch with them

It s my fault I was looking for a loan and I got excited when I saw congrats . I was in a very desperate situation and I got completely taken advantage of !! Obviously they don’t care about people

They said I was approved for a $3000 loan with lending tree and asked for bank information. I had previously applied to lending tree for a loan because I don't have good credit. So I thought this was legitimate. When he asked for the deposit of $91.00 with a gift card I knew it was fraud. I emmediately changed my login information and reported it to lending tree and the bbb.

So this lending tree promised me a 3000 loan I have the worst credit so I thought maybe they could help me out instead I was dumb to fall for their scam first they told me to purchase a gift card then send it to them by screen shot to verify my acct .

Im not entirely sure but i believe they are trying to scam me by getting all my banking and personal info. To then require in advance loan fees and/ or to gain access ti my account to take money out not put money in. The number they are calling from does not match the number listed for this company . they have been too eager for me to complete this loan application. My credit is not great and no other company ive inquired with has been eager or even willing at all to give me a loan and yet these people keep calling and calling trying to get me to finish giving them all my info. Plus the man who has been calling claiming his name is james does not speak very good english or use very acurate grammar or speak appropriately professional enough to seem legit.
