They contacted me while at work and on my drive home so I really didn’t think about what was being said or asked. I was already applying for loans before my shift started due to emergency situations going on so I didn’t think twice when lending club sent something because they’re a know company as well as the documents they sent in the email was very official in appearance. They had said that my account had to have a positive balance before they could do the transfer which I did think was strange. There were 2 people contacting me about it to my knowledge and by several phone numbers. They wanted my account and routing number as well as my debit card which I thought was normal, then asked for my log in information for my online banking; which while they were asking me think I was on my way home with my 2 year old screaming in the back seat. Toward the end he said something about doing the deposit into my account and could barely hear/understand what he said so I asked home to repeat it 3-4 times until it registered that he was saying once the money was deposited that he wanted me to transfer the money back to a cash app or Apple Pay account. As I really registered that it was indeed a scam I hung up and charged my log in information. To really make it sink it they proceeded to call and text me until I blocked the phone numbers.
