The person promised me a puppy I found online. They texted and emailed pictures and a video. I thought they were legit bc the puppy I wanted, they said she was just purchased by someone else since I didn’t pay the night before. They asked if I was interested in any other puppy. Eventually I bought “Macie”. $750. $150 for shipping, so $900. I sent money to their Zelle account which was not registered. They kept asking for screen shots of the transaction. Then they said a few hours later it hadn’t gone through and it sometimes takes 1-3 days. They said to cancel my payment and resend a new one to a new Zelle address. I asked why and that it was sounding fishy. Eventually I said this feels like a scam and I want my money back! They accused me of being a bad person assuming the worst. A few hours later they texted that night saying the payment went through so we were all set for the morning. And that we had a great family over here. Ugh makes me sick. Then I woke up and they sent info via text about the shipping company, and that I needed to pay $740 to cover insurance that was refundable upon arrival of my puppy. I said I never was told about this and That surely they could help spot me if it was refundable since I don’t have an extra $740. They said they don’t have money for insurance. It’s still continuing and at this point I’m reporting the entire thing. This is awful and they need to be caught and punished. Now I’m out $900 and no Santa gift for my kids. ??
