THIS ISN'T A SCAM - I COLLECTED THIS AWARD. THIS PERSON IS LYING.
Also, your user name is a bit on the nose. How useful will that name be if you post on a different subject in the future?
If it's an international law firm, why does
************* Google maps show zero locations? ************
Sorry, had to do that.
Scammer's website www.mccarthystearns.com
Scammer's address Toronto
Scammer's email [email protected]
Country United States
Victim Location WA 98382, USA
Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes
Also, meta-data from emails from Jack Livingston show:
Authentication-Results: MTA-0.0.0.0;
dkim=pass header.d=mccarthystearns.com header.s=protonmail3 header.b=K9m8fsMS;
dmarc=none;
spf=softfail (MTA-0.0.0.0: 185.70.43.17 is neither permitted nor denied by domain of [email protected]) [email protected]
spf=softfail: is a red flag---- in a nutshell, coming from an unauthorized server
with a dmarc of none-- a red wavy flag: basically there is no protection for phishiing etc built into the email.
Sadly, a Google search on the shipping or law firm look legitimate; THEY ARE NOT.
While at Google, click on maps. An international law firm should show a lot. It shows zero.
If you've gone far enough to receive emails, click on nothing... DANGER.
I went far enough to receive emails & the last one had
" Insurance is required to be filed by both the shipper and the receiver". This may be the extent of the scam but I think it will go deeper if you continue. Just drop everything at this point.
I will give them an A+ for effort.
