Type of a scam Employment
He said he was a Talent Manager at LIDS.
After a day i had a questionnaire interview through Skype. And another the following day. I was offered a remote digital design job.
Later i was sent a job application to fill out and a w-4 form. All of this seemed somewhat normal but why seemed off to me was that i was sent a check through email which i was told to print it out and mobile deposit it (this check was almost $3000). This check was to pay a “vendor” for home office supplies.
After asking to video chat so that i could ask more question and feel comfortable going through with this. I was told the company monitors the onboarding chat and there was nothing to worry about. I used a grabifylink. And IP location tracking to find out he was in United States, Boyton.
