I was contacted by a male claiming to be Peter Jefferson from Lightening Vengures LLC, 214 Patriots Pointe Dr, Hillsborough, North Carolina 27278. He claimed this company is contracted by Publishers Clearing House as a subcontractor to notify winners and arrange for the winners to claim the prize. He stated I had won 3rd prize from Publishers Clearing House for $750,000. I was send them a check for $500 for New York State Taxes via certified mail. After mailing them a check and over a period of 3 days I received numerous calls, stating they were coming to my home to have me sign papers accepting my "prize" and they would then drive me to my bank to deposit their check of $50,000. They stated they balance would be payed over a series of several years. I became suspicious and was able to cancel the check I issued and closed my bank account. They have continued to call my home, I will have to change my home phone number. I am 89 years old and have a bad heart.
