Was contacted on indeed by someone with a job offer of 2800 a month after 30 days and then every other week pay. Was sent contract to look legit as well as payment info. I didn’t give my actual bank as I was skeptical but provided chime.

Thank you..after receiving a message on indeed..I looked further into this company and I'm glad I found this from you! Thank you!

On June 6 I was offered a remote job, as "a shipping inspector" for a company called Lightspeed Inspect. I had a phone interview but I was not given much detail about the job, I was told the supervisor will give me all the information during my training. As soon as the supervisor contacted me she instructed me to order 3 packages of priority mail boxes from the USPS. They are free, I did not feel suspicious at the moment as they did not ask me to buy or pay anything. They never asked for my #SS, they asked me to send them a selfie holding my DL but to cover the driver's license number. About 3 weeks later I received a "trial" package. It arrived to my address under a different name, not mine. I was instructed to open it, take a clear picture of the content, then using a shipping label I was provided, to ship it out through Fedex. The second package came a couple of days and the instruction was the same, open, take pictures, upload them into a portal. I became suspicious because there was no inspection required, just pictures. I have been in communication with the "supervisor" daily 2-3 times/ day. However due to my suspicions I started looking closer to the company's website which has changed since my employment and I realized that the information regarding the staff was not real, the pictures used were from Shutterstock, and blog articles were found on other websites. I am still in possession of the package, I have not been provided with a shipping label and I will not until I receive guidance. I sent this message to my supervisor, but have not heard from her all day. This is the message: " Hi Sonya would you mind explaining to me the whole process and specifically what my part in the process is? It was not explained to me during the interview, the person who interviewed me said all the questions would be answered by my supervisor. I also noticed that the Lightspeed-inspect website has stock photos as pictures of the staff and a couple of generic blog posts that are found elsewhere on the web. That has left me very uneasy about the company and my role in it, I am sure you understand my concern, it would be great if I could get some clarification." Looking around we came across information regarding re-shipping scams and unfortunately I believe I am a victim of one.
