Contacted Lindi Shepherds to obtain a German Shepherd puppy, were told they were out of Ashland, Ohio and we are , approx. 1.5hrs away. We were told due to the Covid virus issue, that we could not visit the business and it states that on their website, but videos and pictures would be provided of the puppy of choice. The information presented was very formal in the appearance of a contract with a heath guarantee. The payment form was to be through Paypal and we learned during this process there are two forms of payment methods in Paypal. One is a goods and service portal and the other is friends and family, we originated the payment through the goods/service portal but were told that it had to got through the friends/family one. We had never used Paypal prior so we were ignorant to the differences until we filed a complaint after the fact. The original payment was returned to us, as if it wasnt Paypal was on on the hook to reimburse us for the scam and the scammers would be brought to light and have to recreate a new Paypal account. We did send additional funds of $ 700.00 through the friends/family portal which was released to the scammers on November 6th. We filed a complaint with Paypal as we figured out this was a scam, they investigated only how a payment was made and quickly and clearly stated they are not responsible for the transaction since that is not covered under Paypals rules, thus we were out the $700.00 and of course angry and highly embarrassed as we should have known better.

I have since tried to maintain contact with the scammers via text messages under # 216-438-0141 & 740-343-2979, they have since stopped responding to my everyday texts. This company is a pure scam for money on a product that does not exist and prey on the emotions of people wanting a puppy. I have watched the website daily since and there are no changes in the availability of puppies as the day we decided on the one we wanted, meaning they are not even changing the visual aspect of their scam. We have no recourse here as im sure they are not even in the United States and the numbers are most likely from burner phones that are un-trackable.
