Payment was processed immediately using Paypal for $41.54 to someone named 'butcherbutcher'.
On April 3, I sent an email to the seller via PayPal about the status of my order. It went to [email protected] I did not received a response.
On April 5 I sent the same email to [email protected] but did not receive a response.
On April 12, I reported this issue to PayPal and received a full refund from PayPal.
The website lionelusa.com looks legit until you look closer. Items are marked down significantly from their suggested retail price - 50% off or more. Some items that retail for $500 are marked down to $100. Some items shown are listed as 'preorder' on other websites, meaning they are not yet available from the Lionel - the manufacturer. The lionelusa.com website does not contain a business address or phone contact number.
Their payment page contains the totally false claim: "3. Is Your Site Secure For Credit Card Purchases?
Absolutely, 100% Yes. In Fact More Secure Than If You Use Your Credit Card In A Retail Shop. Their shipping page has the suspicious statement regarding Returns - "By placing an order at Doggy Treats, you are responsible for the cost of return shipping back to Doggy Treats. Please refer to our returns policy for further information on how to return your packages."
Really? You are not advertising Doggy Treats on your site - only model trains made by Lionel.
