I am selling a vehicle on Craigslist and my husband was contacted via text message about buying the truck, they were insistent about sending us a check with the shipping companies portion included, and we were to transfer money to the shipping company, which we did not agree to. The individual sent the check anyway, today I took it to my bank, and had them verify that it is a fraudulent check. The check is from a construction company in California, the phone number is from Texas, and the check was mailed from New Jersey. I believe the construction company is probably an innocent victim in this also.
