They called me and told that they were a ligiation group and they are going to take me to court for `1500 but if i give them 500 i wont be going to court. They claimed that i had a loan in april 2019 but i dont recall getting a loan in that year at all.

How is this legal?

Received a call that I was being charged with a Class 3 or C (?) felony for a payday loan I took out in 2018 from address that I haven’t lived in for almost 7 years. Called my mom too. It’s scary and unsettling.

These people contacted me and two of my relatives as well.Told me I was being sued with 3 counts of fraud for a check n go debt. it was literally same script and used check n go as well just with state of Texas. this is terrible what these criminals are doing to others. How they have no remorse and actually and can lay down every night and sleep knowing they are screwing over people the way that they are.

"Angela Gaines" a fraud investigator from State of KY contacted myself, as well as four or five family members claiming to serve papers and subpoenas to my family, that I was being sued for 3 counts of felony fraud. Left me the above number to call back (Litigation Services Group) and it's a debt collector for Check & Go, threatening the same action- felony fraud charges for a debt. Said they had tried to mail me info at an old address, I never received that. The debt is over the SOL and does not show on my credit report. I am disabled with brain & cognitive functioning (understanding/confusion) and this has been very mentally taxing and scary to receive these calls. As well as my family being given detailed information that I'm being investigated for fraud.

Me, my daughter & mother received threatening calls saying they were going to be supeoned & that I was going to be served that night. I called back the person I talked to was combative & rude. When I challenged the information she over talked me & hung up.

They contacted my in laws saying they were investigators for the state of Ohio trying to serve me papers. Called them, and it was concerning some debt that's not even on my credit report. Told me that I needed to set up payment arrangements or they would continue with litigation. You can't even find these people on the internet. Everything I've read so far is saying these are scanners using the same rhetoric they tried on me.

Exact same script here in Missouri - called for an ex of mine and called several of his family members. These folks are sick and try and terrify you with the fact that they didn't call you but a "process server for the state" called you. That's not how ANY of this works. Don't give them a dime until they send you a debt validation letter.

Litigation Services Group in Dublin, OH keeps contacting me regarding some sort of "debt collection" and threatening me with arrest. Their phone number changes almost every day, so the number provided below may be disconnected by the time anyone reads this. I am not personally worried about this because (a) I have no outstanding debt, and (b) they've been making these calls to me for a little over a year now and I have yet to be arrested! It seems likely to me that this is an illegal scam, merely than simply a business with "shady" practices. The group already has a rating of "F" with the BBB, so I'm probably not providing new info here; just wanted to add this comment in case someone out there actually does actually have some debt.
