This is an update on a previous report from earlier today. The name of the company in question is Fortune Kart with Max Rogers as main contact

On approximately March 21,2022 a message came up on my computer that I needed to call to unfreeze my computer. The company Nova Soft for $499.00 will clean my computer and that they needed to install their software and I agreed to this. They offered more products which I declined. then in late August 2022 I received a call from a Max Roger 848-230-8899 that went to my voicemail that I owed him $5,800.00. I called back a little later to cancel this. He said it would cost me 3,000.00 to cancel. Told him that was unacceptable realizing that this may be a scam. Called me again on September 12, 2022 and said he had a check from my bank and that I needed to voice activate the check so he could cash it. By this time the bank account had already been closed and that my computer had already been cleaned by a pro. Now I know a lot more about scams and what an Ultra Viewer is and does.

Message came up on my computer in April, 2021 that my computer was at risk. Gave me tech phone number to call. I called man said I had a virus on my computer and his company could remove it for $199. He said he couldn't take a credit care because of my computer having a virus and others getting ahold of my card number. He told me to mail a check to the address Miro Tech Global Solutions in Bingham, Michigan. On Monday, April 11, 2022 I received a phone call from a Max Rogers, telling me my computer security plan was renewing. It would be $4800 for a lifetime warranty. He left the phone number 1-848-230-8899 for me to call if I wanted to cancel. I called spoke with this man and told him I wanted to cancel. He said it would be $3200 for year 2021, and this was to be sent to Instinct Tools, PO Box 4562, Fairfax, Va. 22038. My service agreement states in all caps and bold letters that "WE DON'T PROVIDE AUTO RENEWAL OF THE SERVICES, HENCE THE SUBSCRIPTION DOES NOT RENEW AUTOMATICALLY". Told him I was not going to pay it and he said he would take it out of my checking account. I went to bank showed them the service agreement that was sent to my email. I closed my checking account took my computer to where I bought it to have his access to my computer removed which I didn't know was on my computer and have my computer cleaned up.

While I was on my computer, a large red warning sign appeared on my screen. It said that a critical threat was on my system and gave a telephone number for technical support. When I called the number they answered, "Microsoft Technical Support." I thought I was dealing with Microsoft. They said they would take care of the problem but needed remote access to my computer to look for the virus. I allowed the access. Once they had control of my computer, I noticed the types of files they were looking at. They were hidden files that I did not even know were on my computer. They contained all of the passwords ever set up on my computer. They also went into one file that gave them my social security number, which gave them access to my tax files. I have my refund direct deposited, so all of my banking information was available to them. They also had me sign into my email account so they could check that. After all of that, which took almost 2 hours, they started talking about their technical support services and that a lifetime service would be $1999.99. They asked me to send them a fax of a copy of my blank check and they would process the payment immediately. I would not do that.

They started telling me that I had to send the payment by registered mail and call them with the tracking number. The more they wanted the more suspicious I became. After hanging up and getting off my computer. I immediately changed the password to my email account and then tried to check the ScamPulse.com website to see if they were legit. The company was listed but had no rating. I then tried searching the address they had given me and discovered that the address is a condominium in Michigan, strictly residential. By that time I was panicked. I tried to get back into my email account and found that the password had been changed again, after I had already changed my password just 5 minutes prior. I tried to get into my Google account and found that the password had also been changed. The same was true with other accounts that I tried to open. Several had been changed by someone else. By this time, my internet provider was already closed for the business day. I unplugged my computer and disconnected the internet connection. Early this morning I called my internet provider and explained the situation. They were able to remove the malware virus and blocked or removed their access to my computer. Since that time my cell phone has alerted me to several accounts on which someone had tried to change the password.

I called my bank and told them about the hack. I also informed the Social Security office and the filed a formal scam report with both the SS office and the IRS site for scam reports to alert them.

I do not expect that the ScamPulse.com can do anything about my experience, but I am reporting it so that other people may be saved the trauma of this experience. Not only were my accounts compromised but so were my daughter's accounts because she uses her cell phone for most of her transactions and they got access to her phone through my internet connection.

My Dad had a Pop up screen show up on his computer, saying it was compromised and he was locked out. There was 800 # to call to fix it. The company was Instinct Tools or also known as Live Help 24*7. He called, they were able to remote access his computer. They said his firewall was compromised, he would need firewall protection to prevent hackers. Lifetime firewall protection for $7100 USD. They asked my dad to write a cheque and mail it them the next business day by registered mail to a P.O. Box in Virginia. He was also asked to take a picture of cheque and email it to them, which he did. Luckily we found out before cheque was mailed. I was actually there when they called. I told them my dad did not need their services and would not be mailing a cheque. They insisted he needed their service or else he would get hacked and if lifetime was too much than they would do a year protection.. I said no. They eventually hung up. My dad ended up closing his bank account the next business day on the advise of the bank manager. We also deleted an app they had installed on his computer. So far it seems like he is not out any money but he easily could have.

Note: there is a website for Instinct Tools which would make it seem legitimate. I contacted them, they're actually a reputable company in Germany but are well aware of these fraudulent people using their name. They understand they are based in Canada.

Computer stopped working and was told to call a toll free number to "unfreeze" the computer.

Took over my computer and installed security system and wanted $1000.00.

July 2 our computer locked with a blue screen. In the bottom right corner it said Microsoft Tech Support and a phone #. My husband called and the man said he was a tech support contractor. He was given control of the computer, insisted he was not a scammer and called us back 2 hours later to say the problem was fixed. We needed to send him a check for $249 for a year of protection.

July 26 he phoned saying his computer crashed and he could not follow through and would refund our money. We needed to open our online banking (which my husband did and the scammer read off the balance and he was moving the cursor! He said all my husband needed to do was click to receive the refund. He did not and hung up. The man called back 2 more times!!

Computer locked up today. Said to call Microsoft which turned out to be 24-7livehelps.com They said it was a problem with my IP address. I stupidly gave them access to my laptop and eventually it came down to asking for $247 (like 24-7 which was a telltale sign this was not legit MS). After about 20 minutes I shut down laptop and have received two calls. Called them back and said I wasn't convinced this wasn't a scam. They put me on with supervisor. told him I'd think about it. Have removed all desktop icons they added. Called Comcast who said there was not a problem with our IP. so has anyone researched to see if they are truly a 'tech fix company' extorting money or out for much more through financial sites?

I recieved a pop up message on my laptop that froze everything. It said it from Microsoft and my computer was being hacked that I needed to call a Microsoft tech to fix the problem. I called and allowed them remote access to my computer before i realized they were not microsoft . They did fix the problem, but I think now that they locked it up and then extorted $199 from me. I have done some research on this company and they have only been in business since Jan. 2021 there are other reports of other people having the same problem. Microsoft says they didn't send the message and they don't freeze anybody's computer

I got a message on my Chromebook that my computer was locked up by Microsoft Defender and that I had to call 1-838-800-2304 to get the problem resolved. When I called a tech explained that my internet provider was hacked and that he could resolve my problem.
After taking my contact information he proceeded to remotely "fix" my problem. The long and short of it is that Chrome doesn't use Microsoft Defender or any MS products so there was no real problem to solve.
He asked that I send a check for $350 to Miro Tech Global Solutions after he fixes the problem.
Come to find out that the problem was easily fixed by a couple of key strokes on my Chromebook.
It turns out that what they were doing is selling me a service contract for a year. I have not paid yet so I will see what transpires.

Scam! Do not trust this company. Locked up my elderly parents computer so that it was unusable and then demanded $100 check. These are the lowest of the low [censored].

Received the same message. My computer was semi locked up and it also said not to turn off or more damage would be caused. Called them thinking I was getting Microsoft assistance. They manipulated my system for about an hour and want a $299 payment. The problem popped up again. I ctrl+alt+del'ed it and my system was fine. I think I am being scammed. I really can't just give up that much money.

Unsure if this a scam. Got a pop up on the computer stating a security alert from Microsoft that our IP address was used without our knowledge and consent. Call number to unlock the computer. See photo. Number went to a rep to fix the issue and sell me security for firewall.
