I applied for, interviewed, and tested for a full time, mid-to-senior-level position. I was subsequently ghosted and blatantly left on read after simply asking for the standard hiring paperwork, onboarding and/or offer letter, because I was already rightfully suspicious after seeing how different and low the listed pay for the "test day" was. I was also never paid for the "test day" anyways, and was only informed after becoming a candidate at a competitor that the position never even existed at all, only an underpaid 1099 entry-level position. I believe if I hadn't gone to a competitor, I never would've heard back, and they never had any intention of actually paying me for that day at all. I'm just glad I cut my losses early, and can only hope they don't do anything with my license and SSN, they've done enough. Steer clear.
