I had a similar experience to the poster from April 30th 2024. I responded to a job posting on LinkedIn jobs. It was a posting for Executive Assistant with a company called McKessons. The name—being oddly similar to that of the water company, McKesson—did give me pause, but I submitted anyway.

I later received similar email and text messages from the scammer, containing the following:

"Dear Applicant

We acknowledge the receipt of your application through Linkedin and appreciate your expressed interest.

After a preliminary review of your application, it appears that your qualifications align with our requirements.

"We look forward to the possibility of working with you. Go to application process https://llchiring.com.

"We encourage you to ask any questions you may have. Kindly respond once you have successfully completed the company registration process. Furthermore, please let us know your availability for scheduling the interview (this is of utmost importance). We look forward to the possibility of working with you."

Upon reading this, I knew it was a scam. Fortunately, I used disposable email, phone & address info in my resume & application (a standard practice for me now, even with legitimate employment opportunities), so I have little concern that the scammer can harm me.

Beware...and start protecting your personal info with aliases and other disposable PII.

Texted me in regards to a job, and said to check mail in the spam mail, directs you to a website to check your credit score, and will only accept a credit score through their website, not sure what this is going for, but it’s sus to say the least. Iv never heard of a company needing my credit score, and if they ever did, they can accept equifax, credit karma, etc. I will not be responding and blocking the number.

Emailed me as if response to application submitted for a position on linked in. Email stated selected for next process and needed credit score through their service button on website provided. Grammar in language was not proper was red flag for me but then when checking out here the previous comment is exact email I received as well. I did not submit my credit report or score or attempt to use the website as instructed.
