LLCS Reports & Reviews (39)

This notice was sent to Electric City Self storage, a fictitious business supposedly at out home, for display of mandatory posters. We moved to this address in June, and this is the second scam, we believe by these same criminals, to target us. Last scam involved selling us the "only copy" of the legal document for purchase of the property. These people make their game seem important, and they need to be stopoed.

LLCS 2711 Buford Road #322, Richmond, VA 23235 is the listed address on the front of the envelope.

On the return envelope, LLCS PO BOX 100369, FT Lauderdale FL 33310-9972

I just started my business as a mobile notary(JM Notary, LLC) and I was sent a bill for $94 and told in the letter that if I did not comply I'd be fined over $7000.

LLCS sent us a notice as soon as we filed as an LLC in the state of Colorado. They told us we needed to pay $94.00 to be in compliance with labor laws, and gave us a date to respond by. Thank goodness we researched it...it is a scam.

I filed Articles of Organization for an LLC last week and today I received a notice that looked very official (as if issued by a government entity) requesting payment for a Labor Law Poster ($98). The notice has a "respond by" date and makes it seem like I'll be trouble if I don't pay this fee. Doesn't hold up to scrutiny, but this business is clearly preying on new business owners. Not cool.

I have received a threatening letter from this company on 2 separate occasions. The letter is made to look like a government notice, with the words "Labor Law Compliance Notice" at the top in bold font.

I tried reaching them at the phone number they have listed on the ScamPulse.com website: 800-290-1623 but got a message saying the number was disconnected.

I placed an order for a Labor Law Poster on 2/17/2021. As if this date no response.

- Woodbridge, VA, USA

They sent a letter saying you need to oh them $94 for a labor law compliance poster and that if you don’t you’ll be fined $7,000z they are clearly intending to defraud businesses who have just registered by sending this letter and purposely giving the impression that it’s an invoice , with due date , record number and acting as if you need to respond by the date or be subject to a government fine .

I recently started my own business.

I received a letter in the mail with the title "labor law compliance notice".

The letter states that a business is required to post a current compliant labor law posted in the work place and then asks you to respond by a certain date and offers its service of a "2020 state & federal all-in-one labor law poster" for $84. The return envelope goes to a Florida address.

You can read in detail how clever they are in providing their services while intimidating the recipient to comply with the law. Favorite part of the text is that on the back page at the very end it says " LLCS makes no representation or warranties as to the information provided herein" which goes against everything else they said prior. New business owners like myself are vulnerable to solicitation like this.

I am unable to attach all sides of the letter due to the file size being too big.

I received a letter in the mail from LLCS that had "Labor Law Compliance Notice" in all capital letters on the letter. It said, "Your business is required by Federal Law to post a current compliant labor law poster in the workplace." They continue on to says that fines in excess of $7,000 will be filed and listed Federal Law 29 USC Sec. 666 (i) & Sec. 2005 as the law requiring the poster. They then ask for $84 to mail you a poster. They use scare tactics to get you to pay $84 for a poster that you could print yourself for much cheaper. Don't fall for this.

Received a letter sent 8/17/20 stating $94 needed to be paid to LLCS by September 9, 2020 for a labor law poster to be put up in the workplace.

Lots of paragraphs copied and pasted into the letter making it look official, with references to Federal Law and potential fines of up to $7,000 for non-compliance. They asked for your email, phone number, and credit card information. States that it will take 2-3 weeks to receive the All-In-One Labor Poster.

I received a letter soon after registering my LLC. The letter is a "Labor law compliance notice" that asks me to pay $89 to receive labor law posters. It threats businesses with a $7k fine. The letter is misleading and made to look like official correspondence.

Received letter saying I owed $89 for non-compliance for not posting labor law signs. I don’t even have a business. This was sent to my home address. There is no contact phone number for this scam, just an address to send checks to.

I received a letter from LLCS which says "Labor Law Compliance Notice" "Your business is required by Federal Law to post a current compliant labor law poster" Then said Please Respond by 6/26/2020 and "Document Fee: $!25". An earlier report on this from ScamPulse.com said it is a scam. I'm just posting to say it's still going on. At the very bottom in fine print "footnote" it says "LLCS is a Non Government publisher of copyrighted compliance poster... "

I received this letter from LLCS stating that I need to have a compliant labor law poster, and it would cost me $94.00 to get one from them. It has the legitimate compliant federal law posting in the letter and everything.

LLCS poses as a non-profit that is charging for a required governmental service around labor law posters. They send "compliance notices" that look like official government notices.

LLCS send out a "Labor Law Compliance Notice" to newly set up businesses and tells them they are required by Federal Law to put up a specific poster at the work place. They ask to fill out your credit card info or send them a check for $125 for the required poster.

The form looks very official and threatening and it's clear that they hope people will fall for it and send them money. Shameful. :-(

I received a letter in the mail to my home address that my recently registered LLC "is required by Federal Law to post a current compliant labor law poster." Non-compliance could result in "potential fines in excess of $7,000 per instance."

The cost of the "All-In-One" poster is $84.00.

This company has no telephone number or website. Furthermore, as stated above, the mail was sent to my residential address, not the commercial address listed with my business. Even still, I researched the legitimacy of LLCS and the need for such posters for my business.

I found no information on the company. However, many people receive similar notices from other companies and wonder about their legitimacy.

These notices are scare tactics. If a business does need labor law posters, these posters are available for free at dol.gov.
