Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan
Logged into my online banking account using my credentials provided. Then stated (without me signing any loan contract) that there will be no fee upfront. The loan company will add funds twice one for 1000 dollars the other for requested amount of 5000.
1000 was to report to credit card bureaus that I made an early payment. (which I was asked to do it through cash app and bitcoins) and the second one was where I would receive the loan of 5000. The I got an alert of two new claims made on my acct. I lock my acct and changed my password immediately. Told him to wait while I check with my bank and noticed an email stating I was lock out of my online banking app for too many log in attempts. I got everything settled with my bank, I have to change my acct number and debit card. Meanwhile still nervous about my ssn drivers license info. Only plus side to this is that I am on high alert of fraud activity and I enhanced bank activity alerts.
