My experience is similar to the scam you have posted. The scammer called Friday at 430pm posing as a local law enforcement office. He said that there were 2 warrants for my arrest for failing to appear for jury duty and that I had to be at the sheriff office before 5pm. The number he called from was the same as the number of the sheriff office. The scammer already knew my name, phone number, and home address. He did not ask for money or any other personal information. My husband rushed me to the sheriff office just before 5pm. The receptionists there quickly identified this as a scam. I am obviously being targeted by a scammer, but it is unclear what the angle is not having asked for money or additional personal information. Please advise.
