My wife and I sold our house of fifty years and bought a ranch home on April 10 2023 We had to move because she has a rare muscle disease that deteriorates the muscles in her arms and legs,so we needed a home on one level.We received a letter in the mail on may 8 2023 stating that we could receive our legal records for our property if we sent $109.50 to our local records offfice.The letter appeared legal and I didn’t notice any disclaimers so I sent the check thinking the letter was legal.I received no response to the letter so I did some research and determined it was a scam.I understand that other people have been scammed by local record office so I’m asking better business bureau step in and stop this scam.Concern Person
