I was looking to adopt a puppy and came across this website. http://mikejonesenglishsettersfarm.com/ (804) 624-3228. After calling and exchange various emails, the puppy was mine. I paid $725 by bank transfer. I then got an email from him saying that I needed to pay extra for an air conditioned crate for the cargo transport. I paid another $600 for that, even though my first payment was supposed to be for everything included. I never received any confirmation paper work from him, even though he told me that he was taking care of everything. I then got an email from Logistics Cargo Express, a day before my puppy was supposed to arrive. It said I had to pay $2700 for travel insurance and a COVID vaccine for the dog. Someone called me on the phone shortly after to confirm. His name was Christoper Dempsey at (540) 628-6559. I knew something was wrong- both Mike and Christoper had foreign accents and after calling the vet, there is no COVID vaccine for animals. I called Mike and he never answered. He texted then to say his wife is in the hospital in labor. He was upset with me and said he's a Christian and would never do this to someone. I called the American Kennel Club and there is no Mike Jones English Setter Farm registered and no paper work was sent over to me. This is all a scam. He might have done this before with poodles.
