The scam was 2-part. I was trying to purchase mini donkeys and had been in contact with the "seller" via email a lot. He was supposedly shipping the donkeys to me, so I started getting emails from this alleged shipping company. I've never had livestock shipped before so I didn't know the process. They emailed and said they'd have the animals go through a vet check and they were requiring a different electric kennel for transport due to the heat. I was more worried about the animals so I was willing to pay for it. I asked if once I paid for the other kennel for the 2 donkeys, would that cover ALL the costs. I was assured it would. After paying I then received another email saying that well actually, since there were 2 donkeys I'd need to pay for an additional kennel. That's when I realized it was a scam and demanded fresh photos of the donkeys supposedly in their possession before going any further. I never heard another word from them.
