I was almost scammed by the same person. I received a text from Torrent Pharmaceuticals. I was asked to reply " yes" if i was interested in a job with the company paying $30 per hr.They had supposedly found my resume on Indeed.com. I replied, and was asked a few questions via text. I was then told that the hiring mgr...David Kentos, would like to imterview me. I had to download some instant messaging app called telegram. Kentos began "interviewing" me. He eventually began sending me details about the company, and told me that i scored 9.50 out of 10 for the interview and i was hired. He began explaining that i would be working from home, and would be undergoing training for a few days before starting the job. He also mentioned that i would be getting a check to cover the cost of the equipment that i would need for the job. At this point, i knew that the whole thing was a scam. He would hire me with our a face to face interview, no paperwork, or verification of past employment or background check? He began to assure me that the company was legit. I told him that i wasnt interested and know that its was a scam. I asked him to never contact me again. I came home this afternoon to find that a check for over $5000 had been overnighted to me. There wasn't a note, paperwork...no explanation whatsoever. The company name wasnt on the mailer, and the company name on the check wad not Torrent. I shredded the check. I feel completely violated and worry that the men might harass me. He has the nerve to us the same name, but a different company. I wish something could be done about predators like this one.

I received an email from the supposed Head of HR with Lonza Group. It said they found my resume on Career Builders and was massively interested in my skills and experience in the Financial fields I have worked. The email stated that I would do a interview via the telegram app. So I wouldn't actually speak to anyone not even do a video interview it would be through text only. It showed me a interview file code to use and gave me the name of David Kentos as the hiring manager. The email read of all these wonderful things if high salary, full medical benefits ect. Well first thing I do is research the company and see they are a European company so second red flag, the first red flag was the telegram Interview (no relatable company does any hiring for financial officers through a texting app) I have yet to research the manager because I just don't see the point I already know whom ever sent this is just a scammer. And not a very smart one at that, why would you try and scam someone who has 20 yrs experience in Forensic Accounting, that just shows you don't take pride in your work at all regardless if it's illegal or not. I have specialized in finding people, software, and corporation that embezzle millions and "tweak the books" for half my life so a small time scammer like these people are child's play. Please stop them from hurting or taking advantage of people in their time of needing financial security through employment .

This company (Lonza Group) emailed me, then texted me about some employment opportunity. Unfortunately I was (stupid) and desperate enough to believe them. I gave them my personal information and I almost bought a bunch of nonsense equipment. It seemed legitimate because I looked up company on Google. Unfortunately it was not.

I was contacted by an Mrs. Amanda Johnson for Lonza Group through my indeed.com profile. At first I thought it was legit. They offer a data entry position at home until their Tavares, Fl office is up and running. They asked me to add Amanda on Google Hangouts so that she can give me information about the company and a better job description. Amanda then proceeded to ask me some basic interview questions such as can I legally work in the U.S. and do I have work references. after about an hour and 18 questions later I was told to standby so they could email their board of directors to see if I would get hired. They were offering me $30 and hour and $25 per hour while completing the training process. They offered 100% medical, vision, and dental benefits. They also informed me of my job duties which includes using some accounting software's such as {Agilent version A.6.1.1, A.7.1.1 and A.7.1.2 Affymetrix version MAS 5 (5.0, 5.1), GCOS (1.0, 1.1), and dChip 1.3 GenePix version 3.0, 4.1, and 5.3 NimbleScan version 2.1.16 SpotReader version 1.0 Peach Tree version 2013 Premium US Patent Single Users Pack BS 1 Accounting software.} I asked Amanda who is required to purchase the software and what the total cost would be. She replied and said the company would email me a check that I would have to rush to print out and deposit. When I opened the email with the check enclosed I grew very suspicious of the amount. They issued a check in my name for $4,890.30. I demanded that this Amanda person call me right away because I didn't feel comfortable with that amount. A man who called himself Brian called me from a MI number and had me on speaker phone. I could barely understand what he was saying. When I asked about why they were trying to give me so much money they said it was to purchase the software, an Apple Laptop, and a printer, copier, scanner and fax machine. I messaged Amanda back on the google hangouts and declined the offer because it did not feel right to me. Amanda began to speak to me as if I was a terrible person who has trust issues. They tried several times to ensure that I deposit the check into my bank account as soon as possible. I have attached a portion of the check with the amount visible. Also this is a European company. When asked why they were not on your website they said it was because the location was not completed.
