I received a text message from (816) 259-0943 on July 12 in the afternoon saying, "Hi, I am interested in the 2014 Ford Escape priced at $15750. My mechanic wants to see a vehicle history report before we set up a meeting. I will appreciate it if you could get it from lookupvin.com and if the report is clean we will make a deal. I am from Kansas city" I asked for his email. He responded "[email protected]" and sent the report to him. I never heard from him again. I did an online search to find this business, lookupvin.com to NOT be reputable and many people have had this experience. Obviously, he mislead me to believe he was interested in the car with an intent of a commission from this online report generating website. Shame on me for not doing my research before purchasing!!!
