I received a letter in the mail stating that I won second place, 1.5 million dollars, in the US MEGA (under the international Sweepstake Draw). Enclosed was a check for 3700 dollars, BUT I could not cash the check until I sent them 2250 dollars processing fee. Once my check cleared, I could then cash the check for 3700 and then they would be in contact regarding the balance of the 1.5 million. I recognized it as a scam but wanted to let other people know.

An man called and said we won lottery money from 2018 lottery and that to claim it we needed to get a certificate of ownership in order to claim it. The Anderson Law Office in Washington DC or Virginia needed $18,000 to pay the 1% to the IRS to claim the money. The man said we could take our a second mortgage to get the money and he knew mortgage company who could lend the money.

I refuse to be a part of this and told my husband, "no deal". Nobody pays to get sweepstakes/lottery money.

My grandmother placed 1$ for a lottery opportunity, instead they charged her $275

When we contacted them and ask for a refund they -literally- laughed at us saying it was our fault for placing that order.

This process started on Oct 29/23 when I answered an ad offering shared lottery winnings from the Julie Leach Fdn for the sum of $100000. I was approached on FB Messanger by the scammer tis is what it will cost to get the winnings delivered to my Home in Canada. Beyond that they kept Demanding additional fees, border duties, Transportation, and the list goes on. All paypal Funds was Funnelled an Individual named Richard Schultz ¨. The FEDEX Agent who was calling the shots was Andrew Beadle. These names were possibility Fictious just for Procedure. After my savings thru Paypal Exhausted they demanded Prepaid Apple cards . All payments were made in US Funds. I would meet their Financial Demands then they would Create more fake fees for Paperwork, Registry etc. I am now financially broke, cant get my money spent thru bank. I am financially Destitute.

It popped up to win a ipad, it said once a month, the 10th person(which was me supposedly) could win a free ipad, then it showed a picture of presents and stated i had 3 chances to pick the right present, the 1st one i pick was empty, the 2nd one i picked had the ipad in it and said "you won" - ur space is saved for 4 minutes with a clock clicking down. It stated pay $1-$5 shipping, and had the spaces to put in my credit card information. So i did, then when i got to -complete checkout- and would click it, it would pop up a lil window that said "due to limited supplies, this is limited to one person" which made no sense. So i called customer service, kevin answered, i told him the deal, he put in my zip code, ask my name, then ask me if it charged my credit card, i checked to see, and it had charged me $14.95. He then told me, it was showing they had tech. Issues to call back in 5 minutes. So i waited and called back, this time lisa answered, i explained the situation to her, she ask the same things kevin did, then checked and came back on and told me the $14.95 was for registration fee for the contest to try and win the ipad and then shipping and handling if i won it. I said " no it already said i won it, i didnt join a contest. She said it was in the terms and conditions. I told her there was no terms and conditions on the page i saw, no where to even look at any terms. I told her i was reporting them to better business bureau, then she said she could unsubscribe me from the contest, i told her yes do that. She then said "anything else i can help u with today?" I said " yes id like my $14.95 back, since i was unsuscribed and they were false advertising" she then said ok, that it would take 5 to 7 business days for it to be returned. So we will see. I doubt that the money will come back because it pretty obvious they are scamming people, they are most certianly false advertising !
