I got a phone call from supposedly the federal government grant department the gentleman on the other line his name was Robert and he told me that I was eligible for subsidy check through the through the Federal grant department subsidy check that I was eligible for came from signing up for insurance through the marketplace the subsidy check I was eligible for was for $1,500 he had me go to Walmart and get the cash of $200 and then directed me to a Dollar general where they had Western Union meantime he's on the phone with me the whole time our phone conversation lasted probably almost 4 hours because by the time I get to Walmart and then get to the Dollar general he had me go to the Western Union inside Dollar general he told me that the $200 was to activate the 1500 and that I would get it right back however I needed to send a Western Union for 210 or actually just pay for it tell the person behind the counter that I had made the transaction over the phone and that I just needed to pay for it and to pay $210 I did so I got the receipt and all of this he wanted the MTCN number which is the money tracking control number and once he got that number he was waiting for the transaction to go through on the other end once it went through he would give me further instructions by this time of the day the banks were closed and it was a Friday so he told me that he was going to let me go he gave me his phone number to call if I needed to he gave me a Federal grant department ID number and told me he would call me tomorrow when the bank's opened which would have been Saturday Saturday came around and he called he told me I needed another $30 in order to receive the 1700 1500 for the grant or the subsidy check $200 for the what I spent the day before I would get all of that back if I didn't have the dollars he told me to come up with it he gave me 2 hours I unfortunately came up with it went to Dollar general and called the phone number that he gave me the phone number that he gave me a lady answered and told me that was her personal phone number and that this gentleman had called her and her husband the day before and had tried the same thing and warned me that it was a scam and not to do it obviously I was embarrassed the gentleman still calls me to this day wanting the $30 to complete the transaction
