They have no physical home address, no phone number to call. We asked where they were out of, he said Portland Oregon, but as our conversations went on, the puppy was out of Georgia and the transaction was going to be out of New York?
They only correspond via email. The person emailing has broken English. Often times when we would ask questions, they would avoid answering and change the subject.
In regards to payment method, the website claims they only accept one, an app called Zelle. We had never heard of that. We asked if we could do paypal instead as we are comfortable with this. At first he said yes. So the transaction went through, but it was someone else's name on the receiving end he wanted us to send to. He then said it was the wrong person so to cancel the transaction which we did. Then he said to send through Zelle instead. My husband asked why we we could not try paypal again with the name of the person that was contacting us, he didn't really have a response, pretty much ignored the question and kept pushing for us to use Zelle. So, my husband tried this, our bank would only allow so much in the transaction per week so not the full amount. So from there, we were going back and forth with the guy on how to do the rest of the payment ($400). The guy suggested money wire, money gram, but then kept pushing for us to use Bitcoin which again we were not familiar with. He wanted us to get cash and go to a Bitcoin ATM (which we have never heard of) and deposit there. My husband said we could do a direct money transfer from our bank to his. He sent him a screen shot of how to do it and the guy ignored this option and kept pushing for his other methods.
We finally told him this was too much of a waste of time and effort for the dog and that we were not interested and would like him to cancel the Zell transaction. We actually called our bank to have it cancelled but as of this morning the transaction went through. He threatened us stating our name was already attached to the dogs registration. He kept trying to push and say let's get this done, you will have your dog tomorrow if we do. The dogs allegedly come via airplane and dropped off at your door via Fed Ex, and the whole process of that sounds too easy. That make it seem like the dog is shipped the second you make the payment.
Also, we had asked for additional pics of the dog, he sent some, but the dog appeared to be the same age in all of the pics. No newborn pics. No pics at at few weeks old. He said the dog was 8 weeks but looked older than that. No videos of the dogs playing. No pictures of the mom's/dad's etc of the dogs.
The last thing to mention is that every time he suggested the different methods of payment, they were all under different names as the recipient.
