I was looking online for shelters near me for a dog, my prior dog was a miniature pincher and loved him so much so I figure maybe I could check out if there was a min pin breeder in my area. Loyal Min Pin Breeder Kennel was the first thing that showed up, I clicked on the website and looked and the puppies. All of them were so cute, but there was a specific puppy that I've never seen the color he is, Scooby, he was $700. I decided what the heck I'll just reach out and see if he'd still available. Every time I reached out to a shelter about a dog I wanted they were just homing the dog and about the take them off the website, so I wasn't having much luck anyways. While I waited for the breeder to get back to me and read the entire website to learn more about them. Immediately it felt off, every page just read weird. There was nothing in the About Us tab that was actually about the people who are breeding the puppies, the website seemed like it was cheaply made, the Shipping and Delivery tab had nothing about the prices for those services until you went to the Puppy Contract and saw the prices there for whatever option you were choosing. They also were offering to fly your puppy out to you on an airplane and you'd pick it up at your local airport. I've never heard of that being a thing, ever. They only had a few buyer reviews posted on the website and all but one of them was dated 2024. When I reached out about Scooby I also asked about 2 other dogs on the site and I asked a couple questions about the dogs and their personalities. When I got my first email, which took about a day, they didn't respond to any of my questions, only provided pictures of Scooby, not the other dogs, and didn't tell me anything about his personality or how smart he is. The email also read very poor and when the email writer signed off at the end of the email they only wrote "Thank you Best Regards" they didn't add their name and title, like "Jane Doe, Owner and Breeder". At this point I basically knew this was a scam, maybe the puppies are real somewhere in the world or were real puppies at one point and these people took a bunch of photos of them as puppies and are using them as stock photos when they email people and update their website, but I knew not to go forward with this purchase. From there I did a little more Googling about this breeder and nothing came up, but I did see other chat forums of people warning people to not buy puppies online from breeder that say they're going to fly them out to you, because you either will not get the puppy or it'll be a puppy from a puppy mill and it'll basically be a very sick dog. Anyways, so at this point I knew I wasn't going to get a dog I just wanted to see what this person would say, so I emailed them back and said: "Good morning Can you please provide the pedigree papers registered with the AKC for Scooby? Thank you." Which all purebred dogs should have these papers to proof their lineage and that they indeed are purebred. They never emailed back, which is what I figured. So I decided to file a scam complaint there with the BBB, while filing the complaint I went back to their website to get the web address, and I noticed that they renamed the dogs. There was a dog that when I first looked his name was Reuben and now it's Chase.
