I received an email that appeared to be from Macafee. Just confirmed we charged your credit card $395.99. This is for another year of service. The email is apologetic. They provided a phone number to call with any questions or concerns. 817-380-4358. It is called Macafee billing number. I called the number and reached an automated line. I pressed a number to speak with a representative. There were different options. I said I think I was overcharged. They said we would like to help but you need to go to a site. They gave me something. I don't remember. I knew it was a scam. I said you are trying to get information they allege they have. I gave nothing. I said I am not doing this. I said I am calling the Better Business Bureau. I Googled Macafee and called them. They said we don't do this. That is not us. The email came from [email protected]
