Lumen Technologies contacted me regarding an application I submitted online. The next step was a Zoom interview after which I was extended a remote position via an email offer letter. Their onboarding process consisted of uploading my photo ID and social card to their Zoom account and submitting my personal information (address, preferred method of payment, and bank info) online. I was also asked to set up an ID.me account for the IRS so that they could withhold my deductions. They requested the login credentials and since then I can no longer access my ID.me account & the account is suspended. My first week I was given my job responsibilities and an assignment. At the end of the second week, I was told that new employees are paid their first paycheck after 30 days. I was then told that the company wanted to assist me with filing my federal tax return, which I turned down. All assignments and communication are done via Slack and the Lumen Technologies profile carries the same email address - [email protected] which emailed the job acceptance letter. My first date of employment was January 22nd. I have not received a paycheck and the contact states that the routing number provided was incorrect and that accounting is trying to rectify the problem. I requested a paystub which took 10 hours for the contact to provide one. The paystub does not have any withholdings, pay period, Lumen Technologies mailing address/Employer ID, and it's does not compensate me for 30 days at full-time status. I have no other means to contact the accounting department or a supervisor.
