I clicked on an ad from Instagram advertised as luvme hair. It's a website I've visited and purchased from before. The site looked exactly like the real luvme site at shop.luvmehair.com. Same pictures, same models, same hair. After my purchase on 10/22/22 I receive a confirmation email from luvme hair. However, when I click on the link to view my order the link takes me to a page website not found. It has a link to a different website www.luvmeihair.com and the website is different and shows a different company name YILITE. The confirmation email shows the products with pictures that I ordered as luvme with their logo, and their signature product packaging pictured in the confirmation email. When I received the items 3 weeks later on 11/9/22 it is not at all what I purchased and its not in the luvme signature packaging. I contacted the seller for a refund on 11/11/22 and they finally informed me on 11/16/22 the product came from overseas even though their luvmeihair.com website states they are based in NY USA and it would cost more to ship it back and would only give me 15% of my total $100.28 purchase price. I have since disputed the purchase with my credit card company and waiting for a resolution. Their ad from Instagram lures you to a “luvme” site with false advertisement disguised as the official luvme webite and their logo is used on the false site and confirmation email but once you click on order history the site cannot be found and it takes you to YILITE. The site does not have a contact number or address just states they are based in NY and only list an email [email protected] for return request. However, on the confirmation email address I received its from [email protected] and it says to send communication and request to that email. The site also describes they're a black owned company but when I received a response from a representative it has Chinese writing. The site looks nothing like what I originally ordered from when I clicked the ad from IG. In addition, when I attempted to email [email protected] as instructed on their site for returns the email bounced back and stated "Address not found -Your message wasn't delivered to [email protected] because the address couldn't be found, or is unable to receive mail. In communication with customer service email [email protected] I requested to return the items and asked for the return address since one is not listed and I was provided address Group 8, Lianhua Village, Wangchang Town, Chongzhou City, Sichuan Province 611230, with phone number +86 17031997419. Clearly, they are not in NY or black owned. After being scammed I did some research and found youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gW4bzNuS5aU of the same situation that happened to another consumer. I hate for this to happen to other consumers please help stop their false advertising and fraudulent website.
