It started like this...
I was alerted that I had won an iPhone13 Pro via an ad on my phone which did mention my current mobile carrier. Of course there was the caveat that I just needed to pay shipping for said phone.
Thankfully I used my cashapp card number to send the $5.87 fee (which on the 1st screen said the fee was only $1.99 - so that's the 1st red flag), and then immediately disabled my cashapp card again. That was on May 9th.
Today, 5/11/22, I get an alert saying that my cashapp payment had been declined because them "S.O.B'S" tried to charge me for an $89.95 MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION that I absolutely did not want or agree to.
As soon as I returned home after receiving the alert while out, I looked up the site & got more details on the alleged company. They have a CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION LINK down on their page so I did follow it & message them, letting them know they were doing B.S., and requesting they immediately cancel my "subscription."
I also informed them there in that short message that I'd be informing the ScamPulse.com about the unscrupulous attempt.
Within 15 mins they replied from a completely different e-dress, of course, and informed me they'd "canceled my subscription", and no further payments would be attempted. I do have that correspondence if ever needed.
