I was called at my office phone line and could hear what sounded like a call center activity in the background. The person on the line asked for me by name and I said, "Yes, this is him" and the person hung up the phone immediately.

The phone line used to make the call, when I googled it, is linked with a small hauling company in Missouri that lists 6 total employees that I did not think would require a call center. I called the number back and received an auto response that the line was either no longer in service or had been disconnected.

I am not used to receiving scam calls on my office line and so was unprepared for this when I responded in the affirmative. I feel foolish for having done so now.
