I had been looking for administrative assistant jobs on several job boards but primarily on Indeed.com when I came across this one saying they had a Customer Care Specialist at a company called Travelrays in a town not far from me. I submitted my resume and cover letter through Indeed and waited. I received and email on sunday night asking me to start a Google Hangout from 8am - 4pm the very next day. It provided me with instructions on how to set up a gmail account and then how to start a hangout session. They gave me the address to the individual. I thought it was fishy to have received an email on a Sunday night and to not give me any lead time for the interview. I did not start the hangout until later in the morning as I did not figure an interview would take all day. They gave me the name of a company not even close to where I thought I had applied to but instead a place called MAAN Pharmaceuticals, Ltd and a web address of http://www.maanpharma.com . As the 'interview' was going on I pulled up another tab and searched the web address. Yes the company seemed legitimate but the pay was way to much as well as the training pay and time did not seem right. I asked my brother for some help and he told me to search the web a little more as well as to search the ScamPulse.com website. It was here that I found several others that had a similar experience with other companies. I am glad I did not give them any of my other information that they did not already have from my resume. If a job seems too good to be true I would research it more thoroughly.
