I got this email!! So I called to cancel as I knew I have Norton Security. They said I had to bring up my account on my laptop or desktop then he would switch me to the dept to do the cancelation......I started typing in www.macafee & asked to verify the spelling. He said oh no, wipe that out & type only h e l p d....I stopped him right there! I said NO! & what credit card was charged. He said it is your bank account not a credit card.....WRONG!! I knew my husband would never give the bank acct for something like this!! I questioned more.... then he hung up!! BEWARE!!

I am not sure if you can do anything about this, but I wanted you to know about it.
I received this email notification (below) and thought it was a reputable company since I had MacAfee but when I called this number listed it found out the hard way it was not. I talked to a Tim or Jim. They had such an accent I could not understand what all they said. They said to cancel they had to get into my computer so like a fool I let them. This was where my trouble started. They told me they were updated my computer and I told them not to. I did not want an update, but they took control, and I could not stop them. After I received several fraud alerts from my bank, I unplugged my computer to stop everything hopefully.
I lost no money, but I had to close my bank accounts (2 of them), and open new ones, close out 2 debit cards and order new one which I won’t receive until at least 10 business days from the 30th. Also no one wants to take a starter check. Everywhere I tried to use one it was denied. I had to go back to the bank and get cash to use.
My computer was locked out, so I had to take it to ******* Alabama to Office Depot and it took 2 days and $140.00 not to mention the time and trips of over 30 miles and the problems I could not handle because of no computer.
