MachineryImport LLC Reports & Reviews (1)

Very convincing employment scam. They posted a job ad in Indeed and followed it up with an email from an HR person that directed me to fill out an employment form on a wed site that looked legit at first glance, especially on the path following the prompts she gave. We followed up with a conference call.

The call should have been my first warning. It was only one interview call. She led it and while she sounded legitimate, there were only a few interview questions and they were very vague. She was the only one who spoke on my call.

Next she directed me to my manager who she stated would be directing me through my month of training. I was advised I had a month training course of about 1-2 hours a day. At the end of this training if I passed all the courses at 80% or more and attended all the training sessions, I would receive a one time payment of $2000 and employment. They sent me some very legitimate paperwork stating all this as well for me to sign. The pay was very good of course.

After working through a week of this training, which seemed pretty real (example attached). My manager pointed out how I have been doing stellar, getting all 100% on the assessments and started explaining more about the office in Denver they were opening. He started talking about how he had been given the assignment of opening the office and he needed my assistance in coordinating the purchase of equipment for that office. He stated they estimated it would only take 3-4 hours to coordinate everything, he would send me a list of vendors and I would receive a one time additional payment of $400 added to my $2000 for coordinating the project.

I was excited at first especially since there was an updated offer letter sent that seemed very official and a pay raise mentioned. Alas, if something seems too good to be true. It is.

I reviewed their web site and noticed all the links were bad and went in circles. Also there was only one phone number that was in the US on the site and he was using that number as well. When dialed it said the Verizon user is disconnected. All red lights.

The next email talked about how I had to use my own credit card and I knew it was a scam for sure at this stage. So I told him I had another employment opportunity I was going with instead and ended correspondence.
