Reached out via email to express an interview opportunity with their company. I was told to use Signal to communicate with the interviewer. There were a lot of red flags that I wasn’t particularly looking out for, until they sent me an almost $7,000 check for “working materials”. I know, no sane business owner would send that much money to a potential new hire. My previous remote job sent us our equipment directly. I deposited the check into my bank before I suspected fraudulence. I am waiting for the check to bounce because I know it’s fake. Please protect yourself from this company. It IS a scam.
