We received a fake invoice from "Main Street Web Pros" for "yearly shared web hosting." We have never heard of them, and our site hosting is not done by them at all. The fake invoice we received looks very real and includes an envelope to mail them a payment. There is also a website listed that you can use to pay with a card.

Googling their name, I see that they've been doing this for at least two years, and I don't understand how they're still getting away with it.

Received an invoice with a balance due of $180.00 for "Yearly Shared Web Hosting". However, our business has never hosted its web sites with Main Street Web Pros. Our web sites are hosted by a different company and our accounts are current.

I received this invoice, but have never done business with this company. My web hosting is with a different company and is currently paid for years to come.

This is the second year in a row I have received a fake invoice from this company, the invoice is for 'yearly web hosting' and lists our domain. They do not host our website, this is a complete scam. I did nothing with the invoice last year and received another one this year. My guess is that they're hoping that someone in accounts payable wont know better and will pay the fake invoice. The company did enough research to include our actual domain and specific information about our company on the invoice.

This company sent our client this PDF document via email.

Claims they need to renew their yearly web hosting for $180.00 (See attachment)

Able to confirm that companys NS records and registar are with another company and has 100% nothing to do with Main Street Web Pros

The PDF also indicates that this is a solication and not a bill in any shape or form but is obviously a invoice for payment.

In the attachment I have purposely left out the details at the bottom of the page due to it including the domain name of the client.

The Northeast Kingdom Chamber of Commerce recently received an e-mail from one of our members, indicating they had received an invoice from Main Street Web Pros for a $180.00 "Yearly Web Hosting Fee" charge. On this same invoice was an account number, a due date, a return service requested and the first words of the message being "Please make checks payable to: Main Street Web Pros. To pay with a credit card or to avoid receiving paper invoices in the future, please sign up for paperless billing at: mainstreetwebpros.com.

The Northeast Kingdom Chamber has never had nor ever will have a business relationship with this company. In fact, in the 25 years as serving as the executive director of this organization, this is the second time we have had to lodge a formal complaint.

There is nothing about this promotion that is not misleading. It is purposely designed to confuse and defraud companies of their hard-earned cash, using the strong reputations of chambers to do it. No legitimate company would do that.

We called the company and was asked for an account number. When given, the woman on the phone indicated this was not an invoice but a marketing promotion. I asked her why they they had put an account number, due date, amount owed, a yearly fee owed and the actual terminology regarding avoiding paper invoices if it was not a bill. She stated I needed to contact the company's marketing company.

Also curious is why you are calling a Tampa area code for a supposed Miami company. They are on different sides of the state and four hours away from each other. When you Google the company's reported physical address, there is no identifying signage on the building indicating Main Street Web Pros is located there. It appears it is well deserved that this company has earned a F rating from the Better Business Bureau.

In addition to reporting this complaint to the Better Business Bureau, we will be reporting to our state Attorney General's Office (Vermont) and the Florida Attorney General's Office as well.

Received letter at my husband's company that has been closed since 1/2/20. My mother-in-law opened the envelope and wasn't familiar with the company that sent it and asked if it needed to be paid. I wasn't familiar with the company either, and my husband's business did not have a website. We live in a small town and there was no need for one.

The document received looks like an invoice for $180. The first sentence states to make check payable to Main Street Web Pros. The second statement suggests to pay by credit card to avoid receiving future invoices and gives a web address to sign up for paperless billing. The third statement suggests transferring the web hosting from the company's "current" web provider to them. It states failure to "renew" will result in website outages and loss of the company's online identity. The fourth statement (rather long) basically states they would like for the company to "renew" with them; however, it states there are no contracts/no obligation to pay the amount stated unless the offer is accepted. It states it is not a bill but is an easy means of payment if the business decides to "renew."

Looks to be a legit invoice for services I do not have with this company complete with a bill amount, due date and account number. In the bottom print there is a note stating it is a solicitation but looks exactly like a regular invoice.
