I asked on facebook if anyone knew a maine [censored] cattery in NJ. I got a message from a women who told me she got her two cats from Lori Main [censored] cattery. When I contacted Lori through messanger she gave me a website to go to and place an email on the two cats I wanted. I emailed and then was told I needed to pay the $100 registration fee. I told her I was not comfotable giving a credit card, so she took a Visa gift card instead. I kept asking if I could come see the cats and meet her. I also asked for a normal number I could call her at. She kept saying due to COVID they were not allowing people in the home. She also told me they do not take phone calls. They only take phone calls from customers they have used before. The week before I was supposed to get the kitties, she told me I had to give $400. I told her I would not give her the money unless I could see her and the kittens at the door. She then stopped contacting me. A few days later I messaged her and told her I was going to have to seek legal advice. About an hour later I got a phone call from the number I listed. It was a man who said he was the Lori I was speaking to. People were laughing in the background talking about maine [censored]. Then he hung up and I got a text message that said, "It would be great if you gave the $400 now." In addition the women who originally told me about Lori Maine [censored] Cattery erased all of her messages to me and took herself off of messanger.
