I reached out to Majestic Chow Chow through a website that was selling 12 week old Chow Chow pups. There were a number of male pups that I liked, two in particular were named Chief and Kulka. We decided to go with Chief There was a quick response to my inquiry and I was told Chief is still available and being sold for $700. The reason for the low price is that the remaining pups were 50% off due to the rush to free space for a new litter arriving on Nov. 28. I was asked to provide information about myself, family and neighborhood. The scammer deemed us fit to have a puppy and proceed to send us information on how the shipping process would work, along with a SPA. I filled out the information and returned later that day. The following day in the early morning hours, I decided to do a Google check on Chief. I entered -Chow Chow and Chief- the information that popped up was shocking. Apparently, the picture and video that were sent to me were cut and paste from the "true owner's Instagram page. They were old pictures that were cut and pasted and sent to me. Chief has his own account and has quite a bit of followers. Due to his unique look, lots of people have taken interest in the dog. Chief, nick named "Oreo Cloud," pictures are on Pinterest as well. He is being trained to be a therapy dog in children's hospitals. I am not sure if the true owners know their beloved pet is being used in pet scam operation.
