Type of a scam Online Purchase
Once puppy was at airport, I receive a call from a Pet flight carrier stating that puppy needed a different shipping crate because of weather. I needed to send $980 of which 900 was refundable so puppy could continue flight. (Pet Art Animal Transport). I received telephone call from them stating puppy had finally gotten off ground and was in Michigan however would be next day delivery as flight would not be to Ohio until next day. Assured me she would be delivered to me by 11:00 a..m. Upon arising next morning, had another email stating that I would have o pay another $1,100 if puppy could be shipped for insurance as Michigan required insurance. At that moment I was aware this was a scam.
I attempted to contact owner of dog, Alan several times with no response or call backs. I never received the puppy. The puppy is still listed for sale on the website. I am out approx. $1700 for a puppy which I never received from Alan in Fairfax, VA. Maltesenmmaltipoo.com
I have reported this to every agency , police, attorney general, fbi. No one is doing anything about it. I have called the telephone number several times and it goes o message. Be aware of these types of scams.
