I responded to a craigslist add involving rehoming some Maltese puppies. It said the location was an hour from my house. When I emailed him he gave me the name David Holland. He told me his brother had died, and they had relocated to South Dakota. He wanted me to wire him the money using a cash app, and then he would ship the dog. I told him I was worried about a scam. He then told me that was against his religion. So he sent me some bible verse, and pictures of him, his family, and a ID card which to me was clearly photoshopped. He tried to convince me it was not a scam because it went against his morals. After he sent pictures of me and his family, I stopped all contact with him.
