Manhattan beach venture llc lies and leaves out information regarding loan forgiveness. They charge you a fee of $1314 for services you can do yourself on the DOE website. They have a ridiculous contract including POA. They purchase you a loan under equitable acceptance in the amount of $1314 that has outrageous APR of 20.99% and APR fees. If you do not cancel in 3 days they will automatically get you a line of credit for that amount. They do not notify you of your first payment leaving room to be charged a $22 late fee. I have contacted my lender Navient, who has also said this is a SCAM. Navient has currently put a hold on my loans in hope to stop them from causing more fees and outrageous loan consolidation. Manhattan lied by saying I will not have to pay on my loans for a year, when really they put them in forbearance so I can't pay on them and also they are growing interest. They also lied by saying, DOE goes by what you make after taxes. I am hopeful I can get my loans back with Navient so in my life time I can get my loans payed back. Now I have wasted $1314 in a free service which could have been used for paying on my loans. If my loans go back to Navient, really Manhattan did not provide me with services and feel this fee should be refunded. I have requested all services with Manhattan be cancelled immediately.
